The leather is vegetable-tanned in Tuscany with natural tannins, at a tannery rated Gold against the Leather Working Group Standard, the highest rating in the LWG audit. The colour is dyed through, running the full depth of the hide. Burgundy is the deep, wine-dark red Apple chose for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max this year, the shade pre-launch leaks called dark cherry. Ours is dyed through the full hide in a tone made to match it, so the case reads as a continuation of the phone rather than a cover over it. It sits just as naturally on the Black and Silver models.

Can I personalise my iPhone 18 Pro Vintage Luxe case?
Yes. Choose hot-stamped embossing in gold, silver, or blind (plain), up to 4 uppercase letters (A-Z) or symbols. Numbers and special characters are not available. The embossing develops beautifully as the leather patinas.
How does vegetable-tanned vachetta age on the iPhone 18 Pro case?
The leather gradually deepens and develops warm tonal variations in the areas you grip most. Natural marks blend into the surface, creating a lived-in patina that makes every case truly one-of-a-kind.
The case is great and the fit is excellent. My request is that it have a bit more texture or grip to the exterior. Right now it is slipperier than I would prefer ( and "grip" is why I use a case at all).
